Ray Wennerstroem grew up in Norway, surrounded by stories and storytellers. When he was twelve years old, he wanted to become a writer but was soon sidetracked by his love of music. After being a drummer in several bands, Ray returned to his first love in his early twenties and has written every day since.

After more than a decade in Australia, Ray recently relocated to Norway where he lives with his wife and daughter, and writes stories for children, young adults, and adults.
